I am Isaac from Ghana, West Africa. Since childhood, creativity and innovation have been my innate strengths. As an adult, recognizing the environmental impact of plastic waste, I resolved to use my creativity to address this issue by transforming plastic waste into valuable resources.
This backpack is made from repurposed plastic sachets, known as "pure water" rubber in West Africa, especially Ghana. Comprising 80% plastic waste, it symbolizes environmental awareness.
The backpack's multipurpose design tackles climate change by showcasing creative plastic waste reuse, generating income, and reducing local plastic pollution.
By turning trash into treasure, this backpack highlights sustainable practices and the economic potential of recycling, promoting a cleaner environment and a greener future.
There are other ways to utilize this method of repurposing plastic waste. These include production of lunch bags, tote bags, travelling bags, pencil and pen holders among others.
I am actively seeking partnerships to carry this further.
