I am Joyce Adjei, a vibrant young girl with first class honours in Bsc. Fashion Design from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. This is an outfit which incorporates the Atrakpi symbol in the anlo kete into contemporary menswear. This project aims at bridging the gap between contemporary menswear and Ghanaian culture and fabrics specifically the Anlo tribe of the Volta Region. The blend takes inspiration from the Anlo tribe specifically their kete. The symbol projected on the kete is the "atrakpi" symbol which means process or procedure. It enlightens us on the fact life generally is a process and that everything should be treated a step at a time. This project throws highlight on the anlo kete because many a times, light is usually thrown on the Ashanti kente leaving the anlo kete non existent
