My name is Ayyub Khalid I summarize my current creative process it would be: read, write and clean. I read to stay inspired and keep my creative spirit happy. showing that creativity isn't just great to have. It's an essential human skill - perhaps even an evolutionary imperative in our technology-driven My creative process is based on my healthy compulsion to see the best in everything. I try to take the average ordinary scenes and create them on oil paintings that make them as beautiful as can be despite their weathered look. I’m currently doing a series on old barns. I’ve worked in quite a few in my day. So, there’s the personal attachment. Barn design is all about what shape gives the most service and benefit to the owner. after time, the pattern of use defines the look the barn takes on. Quite often, barns are not constructed out of the best materials nor cared for the way we care for our homes. So things sag and break down and get sloppy fixes. Over time, this brings about a very individual look that is almost like a person of old age. So, that’s my story for the current motivation. But as a landscape painter, I never lack for scenes that inspire me. I just love the challenge of finding scenes that aren’t inherently iconic, like Yosemite or the Grand Canyon.
