Soul Echoes

I am Emmanuel Mensah-nelson, A Cape Coast born Ghanian Creative artist in the field on photography. Being inspired by a childhood of rooted culture through traditional festivals and performance in our cultural centers I gained a drive to contribute my quota to express the various emotions and stories that embodies Africa. My art is a uniquely designed for the new African faction, where there is the responsibility of shaping Africa's notion into what it really is. Through this, I have attracted similar minds who are dedicated to telling the real story of Africa through their contributions as models. My Art work, Soul Echoes portrays the sounding of the African rich heritage all displayed in one frame. From the braided natural hair of the Cape Coast Oguaa people, to the jewelries made of cowries, a then west African well-known means of exchange and a signature of wealth. The broom, paired with the wrap top, is made from the 1980s Ghana must go woven bag a a resulting history of the Ghana and Nigerian people. The broom displays the pride of African culture and heritage standing tall as the feathers of a peacock. The flying white cloth signifies the waves of African potential that is being sounded to all. Through these and more, I know we can build together with my team, a creative agency for African Education through Art appreciation and Digital Story telling
